Purple Heart Walking Park & Fishing Pond
Enjoy a walk or run on our ½ mile concrete path. Our walking park is designed for leisure strolls, brisk walks, joggers, and runners. Its 8-ft width will easily accommodate strollers. A children’s playground is conveniently located near the walking path.
Along the path you will find 13 exercise stations compliments of the Beauregard Memorial Hospital and 6 sitting benches for your comfort and convenience. The 8’ wide concrete walking path winds through numerous varieties of native timber species and is securely fenced and well-lighted for those who prefer night time exercise. The Park and Pond never close … they are open 24 hrs a day.
Bring your fishing pole and fish in the 2 ½ acre pond which is on the north side of the park. It is stocked with channel catfish several times a year and stocked with trout during the cooler winter months. Thanks to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department for their participation in helping us to provide a fun sporting activity for our community. All you need is a current fishing license if you are 16 years or older.
Located at the intersection of US 171 and HWY 190 on the east side of the overpass, the 19 acre park is a joint venture of the Beauregard Parish Police Jury, Louisiana Department of Transportation and the South Beauregard Recreation District No. 2. The park, honoring our wounded Veterans, was dedicated on January 11, 2014.

The mission of Dry Creek Baptist Camp is simple - to provide an environment where Jesus Christ can become real in the lives of our campers. Everything we do, and all of the programs and events we offer, are built on this foundation.
